Hello readers, its November! And you already know what we do at this time of the year; its time to rank the performances in the Nigerian entertainment industry for the year.
And this time around we at T.I.N Magazine have come up with a list of the hottest and best musicians in  Nigeria year 2016..
To cut the long story short.. Here are the criteria we used in for the ranking!
The criteria we used in this ranking are as follow:
=>The total number of hit songs artists released from November 2015 to October 2016, please be aware we consider a hit song as a song with much downloads, with a lot of popularity in the country, YouTube video views, collaborations and more..

Well, he is our next rated and it looks like he’s proven himself this year. The young lad had a lot of criticism about him not deserving the award but the singer dropped a couple hit songs and an album which has gotten quite a lot of good ratings. The Mavin act has been ranked 10th on the list.

9.  ADEKUNLE GOLD

The YBNL soldier is respected by many music listeners and critics in Nigeria because they believe he makes “Good Music”. Adekunle Gold’s Pick Up is definitely among the songs of the year for year 2016, with massive downloads and radio airplays, the singer also dropped his debut album which has gotten nothing but positive reviews, calculating all he’s dropped this year he’s been ranked 9th.

8.  LIL KESH

The kid from the street is still doing big things, after not winning the next rated last year, the singer has shown he is even better than the award. The singer went on a lot sold out shows after dropping his debut album which has several hit songs in them, the singer went ahead to drop more singles this year after his album release he’s also been featured by many artists. Lil Kesh is ranked 5th.

7.  TIWA SAVAGE

The MAVIN queen did quite well this year. After dropping her “R.E.D” album late last year we can basically tell you she had a great year. With singles like “Standing Ovation”, “BAD” “If i start to talk” “African Waist” and more Tiwa popped the music industry locally and internationally, she went on several successful tours and signed international deals.

Our former next rated is still as relevant as he was 2 years ago, the singer dropped his album this year an album which didn’t do bad commercially. Patoranking is an artist who whenever he drops songs they blow even outside Nigeria, the singer has won several awards this year, he’s been ranked 6th.

5.  MR. EAZI

This guy came into our lives unexpectedly, after being signed by Wizkid the singer gained momentum in Nigeria when all his songs started trending in Nigeria all at once, the singer at the moment is definitely loved by almost every youth music lover. The singer has done so many collabos and even featured by big artistes in Nigeria this year, he’s been an amazing artist and he deserves this spot. We hope you Zaga Dat.

4. PHYNO

Even though he sang one of the biggest songs of the year “FADA FADA” featuring olamide the singer and rapper didn’t drop much songs, the singer has only got two singles on our list but he was featured by many artists though and he’s got a lot of sold-out shows too and quite the media presence. And as expected his song was one of most downloaded songs this year.
Phyno has been one of the most amazing artists of 2016.

3. KISS DANIEL

The singer was ranked 4th on this list last year, it is now obvious the singer took his game to the next level. The singer definitely had an amazing year after dropping his album. The singer has had quite a lot of hit singles this year which trended nationwide. He has at least 3 songs on the list of the biggest songs in Nigeria 2016, the singer is definitely among the highest paid artists in Nigeria after headlining countless shows.
He deserves the spot!

2.  OLAMIDE

He was ranked 1st last year by us and many other media outlets but looks like the YBNL general couldn’t meet up with his last year’s performance. Olamide dropped an album November last year with quite a lot of hits, and the singer went on and dropped more singles after that. Even though the singer has been criticized by many for dropping too much songs with less quality content, out of them the singer still made hits and sold out shows this year and he was featured on one of the biggest songs of the year “Fada Fada”. He is definitely the 2nd on this list.

And finally.. Man Of The Year!! Its so funny how someone who didn’t make this list last year is the one topping it this year isn’t it? Well, what could have caused it though? Oh.. i think we all know answer; “Hard Work”.
Very well, we can tell for sure none of you would disagree he really is the man of the year.
Tekno had singles like Duro,Wash,Where and Pana trending in Nigeria this year, it is obvious every single was a hit back to back. The TrippleMG youngster surprised a lot this year with tens of million youtube views and non stopping airplays.
